You weren't too far off the on the W.A.G's although their was plenty more stuff you haven't even mentioned that made this movie the must see movie of the year. The effects alone where so stunning that it was very easy to suspend all disbelief and simply enjoy and classic story retold very well. I also enjoyed discovering some elements from past James Cameron movies pop up as well, and I'm not just talking about a smoking hot Sigourney Weaver.

Yeah, I think trailers have become mini-spoilers over the years but like I said, I built up on it from outside sources (websites, mags etc) and with stuff I've seen/read over the years. We'll see what happens during the weekend.

Mind you, the Eye Candy's gonna be mind-blowing...Mr. Cameron's good like that.

Wow.. i'm speechless.. You got all that just from the previews ?!

I truly hope you'll eat crow once you see the movie as i too hope there's something more to it than just this.. That being said, i would still consider it pretty good even with this script and W.A.G.s :)

Speaking of movies, the only one that i really enjoyed in the last year was District 9. Highly recommended.

Adi

Which is why I let people judge what they see and experience. I'm only voicing a concern that affects me, only because I believe a movie is not only an escape but also a powerful medium. A movie held up by strong characters and a finely tuned plot line can lift it beyond it's intended run. These days, I find that most movies are built with cardboard and putty, not quality. A good action flick is fun but a good story makes it great, strong characters will make it even better!

Seriously, Titanic was purely visual as well, but it was a great movie! Nothing wrong with seeing a movie for the visual effects and ignoring the story. It's all about setting expectations.
